<p>When an injury keeps you out of action, or a travel schedule leaves no room for exercise, a few simple adjustments to your eating can keep the weight off, and have your body in great condition for when you are ready to return to your fitness routine.</p>
<p>Slip some of these simple steps into your day-to-day routine:</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff6600;">1. Watch out for empty-kJ traps</span></strong></p>
<p>Without a fitness routine, you will not have the flexibility to eat like you normally would. Watch out for empty-kilojoules’ traps such as sauces, dressings and toppings, and be more thoughtful about what you are putting in your mouth.</p>
<p>Dietician’s advise that you:</p>
<p>– Watch what you drink by choosing water instead of wine or juice</p>
<p>– Eat a salad without a sauce or dressing</p>
<p>– Have a baked potato or rice instead of chips</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff6600;">2. Calculate your kJ burn</span></strong></p>
<p>Do a rough estimate of the kilojoules you burn from your regular workout (the average person burns about 420-560 kJ per workout) and trim that many kilo-joules from your daily eating. It probably equates to simply having a smaller portion size at one or two meals.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff6600;">3. Pump up the calcium</span></strong></p>
<p>Experts say you should stick to three to four daily servings of calcium to ensure you get the vitamins and minerals you need, and to help you lose weight. A study from the University of Tennessee (US) found that dietary calcium (such as fat-free or low-fat yoghurts) may help you lose weight because it converts dietary energy into heat rather than into stored body fat.</p>
<p>In the study, overweight people were put on a low-kJ diet with three daily servings of yoghurt (1100 mg calcium), while another group received 400-500 mg of calcium supplements.</p>
<p>The result: the yoghurt eaters’ waist size dropped by 3.5 cm and their weight dropped an average of 6 kg; compared with the other group, who lost an average of 2.5 kg and only 0.5 cm from their waist.</p>

<p>Low-GI foods will make you feel fuller for longer and regulate your digestive tract to help prevent bloating and constipation. “Low-GI foods are absorbed slower so you retain a sense of fullness for at least three hours. Just remember to control your portion sizes!</p>

It really works on a different area than exercise ~ which effects the deeper structures, which is why even women who work out often have cellulite.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff9900;">Do diet and exercise get rid of cellulite?</span> </strong></p>
<p>Since cellulite is a complex problem, it must be addressed from the subcutaneous layer, to act on fluid retention. This fluid retention is abnormal. It is not the kind of fluid you would lose by exercising &#8211; it is a combination of fluid and toxins that have built up in the connective tissues. Whereas both diet and exercise affect deep fat, they fail to act on the underlying cause of cellulite in the superficial tissue of your skin. Even women who exercise regularly and follow a low fat-diet may still have cellulite.</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff9900;"><strong>Does this treatment work on men also? </strong></span></p>
<p>Definitely ~ especially for problem areas such as &#8220;love handles&#8221;, stomages and loose pectoral tissues.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff9900;">How long do I have to wait after liposuction or a tummy tuck to receive treatment?</span> </strong></p>
<p>This depends, but usually you can start once the compressive garments come off. However, Endermologie ® is an excellent way to prepare the skin for liposuction or a tummy tuck before surgery ~ allowing for optimal results.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff9900;">Does the machine tone the skin? Will I lose weight?</span> </strong></p>
<p>You will most likely notice an improvement in skin tone after using the LPG machine. Appearance of stretch marks and loose skin may be improved. It is not a weight loss machine. However, many clients report being able to lose weight, especially fat weight, more easily while using the machine than they ever could before.</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff9900;"><strong>Does it hurt? </strong></span></p>
<p>The sensation is similar to a deep massage and most clients find it quite pleasant. The strength of the treatment can be individually adjusted to your comfort level. What will I feel like afterwards? Most clients report a feeling of relaxation and an increase in energy. Since the Lymphatic system is stimulated, it is recommended that you drink at least two liters of water every day during the duration of your treatment in order to aid in elimination of the mobilized fat.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff9900;">Why are photos taken before and after the session of treatments?</span> </strong></p>
<p>Photos are taken to provide an accurate record of improvements and to help the Endermologie practitioner provide better treatments through comparative analysis.</p>

<p>Minor temporary bruising may occur.</p>
