    What is a Manicure

    What is a manicure?

The word “manicure” has come from two words which are “manus” and “cura”, which means “hand” and “care”. The very basic manicure routine would include shaping of the nails, treating the cuticles, moisturizing the hands and polishing the nails. Besides these, there are many other forms of manicure as well, and each has its own advantage.

The benefits of manicure are numerable, whether one wants to improve the look of the nails or want to fix the damaged nails or cuticles. Manicure can also prevent many other problems from arising in the future, such as hang-nails, fragile nails and wrinkles in the hands and cuticles.

Every manicure giver would have a personal and different style of giving a manicure. But there are many common manicure tools that most of the nail technicians use. These common tools include the nail clippers, brushes, buffers, cuticle pushers and clippers along with a bowl of water to soak the hands. They also have such other things as a soap, cuticle cream or oil, hand lotion, nail polish remover, and of course the nail polish itself along with the towels and sanitizer.

There are many types of manicure that people get for themselves. But few basic steps are the same in each manicure, which are cleaning, shaping, and painting, but there are different application methods that follow each different manicure. Like a French manicure is different from a paraffin manicure, because a wax is used to moisturize the hands, while the others have a white tip on the nail. Mostly the French manicure is what people mostly want.

In French manicure a light coloured polish is applied on the whole nail and then over it a white polish is applied on the tips. The paraffin manicure has the advantage then because the hands are soaked in the paraffin wax, they help make the hands very soft. Some of the other popular manicures are a hot stone, spa manicure and a luxury manicure. These types of manicures are good for those people who have a little more time to sit and relax. This is actually a real treat for them.

  • The importance of Manicure Treatments

    Manicure Treatment

    Why should I Manicure

Women regard their nails as the weapon. You may ask why these women take the trouble of keeping beautiful digits. A manicure is great when one is disconcerted. Today there are pictures of nicely manicured fingers in advertisements. All of them have their own reasons for going for a manicure. Many women think neatly manicured nails will improve their look and others opt for it simply because it is cheaper than therapy. All women, whether they be a model, a working woman or homemaker want to look smart and presentable.

Age is immediately reflected on hands. Unlike other parts of the body such as face hands grow old very quickly. But frequent manicure will keep nails neat and hands clean. Each part of hand is dealt with separately like particular nail type. Cuticles are treated with creams and oils. The importance of manicures is not just the glam factor linked with it but also with the goal linked with it. Nails are manicured to protect them from chipping and cracking. Women have to do the household work in which ongoing contact with water tend to chip off or break their nails. So opting for initial manicure will prevent their nails from chipping and cracking. Also the nails may break due to lack of calcium in body.

Having a professional manicure performed regularly on your nails can be very helpful in maintaining your overall nail health. A manicure will also help to improve the look of the fingernails and hands. They also assist in the prevention of hang nails, nail damage and developing fragile tips, splits and cuts on the nails. It may also aid in the healing of broken skin around the fingernails. In addition, the massages that are often included with manicures may help to improve the skin’s health by enhancing blood circulation, consequently discouraging wrinkles on the hands.

Manicures and nail jobs are a great way to boost self-esteem if we are not content with what nature gave us. There are products and skilled therapist available today who let us fix a little thing that is frequently involved in first impressions — our hands and nails. I’m not sure how I feel about the BIG nails that are popular and costly, but if they make the wearer feel pretty, that is not my problem. I recently saw a professional woman who has her nails done, but in a very natural and classy length with no special art. She can feel much more confident in her appearance and enjoy the technology that permits her to.
