Ozone Therapy provides a wide range of health benefits.

People report a range of health benefits that is associated with the use of Ozone Therapy using steam, insufflations, drinking ozonated water, applying ozone topically with ozonated olive oil and other methods such as dentistry.  Because of the many available uses for ozone, ozone therapy is becoming increasingly popular for a wide variety of physical conditions.

Short History and Benefits of Ozone Therapy

Ozone has been used in medical treatment since the early 1900’s. It was legally used by medical professionals in the USA until the 1920-30’s when the medical establishment barred it use in favor of more profitable synthetic petrochemical drugs. Ozone continued to be used by natural doctors (Naturopathic Doctors – ND) up to the present time. Ozone medical treatments are used in most countries legally in Italy, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Malaysia, Cuba and more. Ozone is widely accepted and used for water purification (Los Angeles, Houston and many other cities currently use ozone for water purification) and is use for Wastewater treatment and surface disinfection. Other non-medical uses include mold abatement and air purification.

Ozone O3 is simply a high powered form of Oxygen O2. Ozone stimulates the production of white blood cells. Interferon levels are significantly increased. Ozone stimulates the production of Tumor Necrosis Factor. Ozone kills most bacteria at low concentrations. Ozone is effective against all types of fungi. Ozone is the best virucide as ozone goes after the viral particles directly. Ozone is antineoplastic. This means that ozone inhibits the growth of new tissue because rapidly dividing cells shift their priorities away from producing the enzymes needed to protect themselves from the ozone. Ozone oxidizes arterial plaque. It breaks down the plaque involved in both Arteriosclerosis and Atherosclerosis.

Ozone increases the flexibility and elasticity of red blood cells. When one views a red blood cell under a microscope, it looks like a disc. In the capillaries, where they pick-up (lungs) and release (tissue) oxygen, these discs stretch out into the shape of an oval or umbrella. This aids their passage through the tiny capillaries and makes the exchange of gas more efficient. The increase in flexibility of the RBC’s allows oxygen levels to stay elevated for days, or even weeks after treatment with ozone.

Ozone accelerates the Citric Acid Cycle. Also known as the Kreb’s Cycle or TCA Cycle, this is a very important step in the glycolysis of carbohydrate for energy. Ozone makes the anti-oxidant enzyme system more efficient. Cells respond to the beneficial oxidative stress by increasing their production of the protective enzymes. Ozone breaks down petrochemicals. These chemicals have a potential to place a great burden on the immune system. They also worsen and even cause allergies and are detrimental to your long-term health. Overall ozone has be used successfully to treat a large variety of conditions.

We are not implying that ozone is a cure for anything, all we are saying is ozone helps assist your body so your own bodies mechanisms can promote a healthier lifestyle. Nothing cures you except your body’s own natural defence and ozone, diet or any type of non-toxic treatment will help. Diet and exercise also play an important part of any treatment weather natural or conventional.

    Using Ozone Therapy

To make Ozone (O3) the ozone generator needs to be fed with a pure oxygen (O2) source such as an oxygen concentrator (95%) or tank. A pure fed ozone generator increases the concentration of ozone compared to an atmospheric or ambient oxygen (20%)  fed ozone generator which will produce toxic and irritating by products such as nitrous and sulfur oxides.

Ozone Therapy is considered one of the most effective methods to treat a variety of conditions and is used legally worldwide. Ozone Therapy is not recognized nor approved by the US  FDA. Ozone Therapy also has little or no side effects. Remember, ozone is an oxygen compound, is non-toxic and life giving.  Without ozone the planet earth would not exist.

The effect is noticed on the entire body at noticeable levels, given that all the tissues are oxygenated. There is visible improvement in the skin quality. • Seven ways to stay slim without the gym – Health Tips

Date: 2011.07.21 | Category: Body And Beauty Treatment Tips | Response: 0

Seven ways to stay slim without the gym – Health TipsHere is the secret to keeping lean, even when you cannot work out

When an injury keeps you out of action, or a travel schedule leaves no room for exercise, a few simple adjustments to your eating can keep the weight off, and have your body in great condition for when you are ready to return to your fitness routine.

Slip some of these simple steps into your day-to-day routine:

    1. Watch out for empty-kJ traps

Without a fitness routine, you will not have the flexibility to eat like you normally would. Watch out for empty-kilojoules’ traps such as sauces, dressings and toppings, and be more thoughtful about what you are putting in your mouth.

    Dietician’s advise that you:

    – Watch what you drink by choosing water instead of wine or juice

    – Eat a salad without a sauce or dressing

    – Have a baked potato or rice instead of chips

    2. Calculate your kJ burn

Do a rough estimate of the kilojoules you burn from your regular workout (the average person burns about 420-560 kJ per workout) and trim that many kilo-joules from your daily eating. It probably equates to simply having a smaller portion size at one or two meals.

    3. Pump up the calcium

Experts say you should stick to three to four daily servings of calcium to ensure you get the vitamins and minerals you need, and to help you lose weight. A study from the University of Tennessee (US) found that dietary calcium (such as fat-free or low-fat yoghurts) may help you lose weight because it converts dietary energy into heat rather than into stored body fat.

In the study, overweight people were put on a low-kJ diet with three daily servings of yoghurt (1100 mg calcium), while another group received 400-500 mg of calcium supplements.

The result: the yoghurt eaters’ waist size dropped by 3.5 cm and their weight dropped an average of 6 kg; compared with the other group, who lost an average of 2.5 kg and only 0.5 cm from their waist.

    4. Go for low-GI foods

Low-GI foods will make you feel fuller for longer and regulate your digestive tract to help prevent bloating and constipation. “Low-GI foods are absorbed slower so you retain a sense of fullness for at least three hours. Just remember to control your portion sizes!

    5. Endermologie – A BREAKTHROUGH IN THE TREATMENT OF CELLULITE

ENDERMOLOGIE® is a proven technique, which has been in use for about 12 years in Europe, United States, Asia, South America and is now in South Africa.

It uses a low-pressure vacuum pump to massage the skin between two motorized rollers, sucking it up into a fold or pleat. This rolling suction action reduces oedema in fat cells and increases the circulation, unblocking the blood and oxygen flow in the suffocated cellulitic tissues. The connective tissues are stretched, allowing the skin to go from the puckered look of cellulite to its normal smooth appearance.

The drainage of stagnant waste products via the lymphatic system and fine blood capillaries is also accelerated, resulting in more refined curves and a beautiful, toned skin. ENDERMOLOGIE® is already popular with many women worldwide.

Clinically, the effectiveness of ENDERMOLOGIE® lies in its action upon cutaneous and subcutaneous structures such as connective tissues, fatty tissues, as well as vascular and lymphatic circulation. As a result, the body is reshaped; skin quality and texture are improved.

    FAQ

How many sessions before I see results?

The average women will need 14 to 20 treatments to achieve optimal results. Treatments are generally 35 minutes in duration, twice a week. Once a month follow-up treatments are recommended to maintain results.

How long do the results last?

For several months up to a few years, depending on age, lifestyle, and hormonal changes. Once-a-month maintenance sessions are recommended after completion of the initial sessions, which maintains the results and keeps the toxins and abnormal fluid from building back up in the connective tissues.

How long does a session last? Do you just work on my problem areas?

Sessions last an average of 35 minutes. Your problem areas are focused on, but time is given to other areas to stimulate general circulation and elimination.

    Does this replace exercise?

No. In fact, it is highly recommended that you add diet and exercise to the routine you follow while undergoing Endermologie ® treatments. In most cases, this improves results. It really works on a different area than exercise ~ which effects the deeper structures, which is why even women who work out often have cellulite

    6. Ozone Therapy

When the body is flooded with an activated form of oxygen, such as ozone, people consistently report that these conditions as well as their general health and energy levels dramatically improve.

From a technical point of view, cells infected with a virus are already weakened and this shows up as lowered levels of enzymatic activity in the cell wall, or “lipid envelope”. This substandard protein coating is unbalanced and incomplete, and it is the perfect attractor for the extra oxygen. Once the ozone attaches itself to the infected cell, it is destroyed and flushed from the system. Healthy cells are completely unaffected and there is no residual toxicity.

    7. Stick to your bedtime

Are you a victim of late-night snacking? A recent study from North-western University Feinberg School of Medicine (US) found that people who stay up late and sleep in tend to have worse diets, eat more at night and gain more weight, compared with those who go to bed at a reasonable hour. Messing with your circadian rhythm (your body’s internal clock) can cause you to eat at the wrong times and gain weight. Eat at regular intervals throughout the day and stop before 8 pm. Ensure you have a reasonable bedtime that you stick to.
